Geek Love THROWDOWN!!!

It's nearing February, and that means that Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Don't get confused.. this is a Geek Site, and no mushy gushy stuff will be found here, I assure you. That being said, there is one matter of the heart that needs to finally be settled and laid to rest.

Geeks always have debates; Hal versus Kyle, Barry Versus Wally, Ted versus Jaime, Trek versus Wars.... the list goes on and on. One debate I have always enjoyed is the following:

WHO IS HOTTER; KELLY or TOPANGA?

Hell Yes, boys and girls... you read that correctly.... Nerdgasms are exploding as we speak. I want to lay it all out there... discuss the pros and cons of each, and finally settle on ..... (drum roll please)......

THE HOTTEST FICTIONAL GIRL WHO WOULD NEVER GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY!!!



Contestant Number One: Kelly Kapowski, the Hottie of Bayside High



What young boy in the early '90's didn't sit on his living room floor every Saturday morning and dream of the day that he too would attend High School and meet the Kelly of his dreams? What little boy didn't sit there eating his Froot Loops, watching "The Bell", as the cool kids called it, and wondered "What is that strange new feeling brewing inside me?". Of course as you got older, and Kelly matured into a buxom college student, you had fallen head over heels for Mrs. Zack Morris. She was perky, cute, hot, smart, hot, nice, hot.... and REALLY HOT!!! Of course, we must be fair.... so here we go...

PROS:

Kelly was a kind-hearted sweet and fun loving girl next door type. She was a cheerleader, but not a bimbo.... a good student, but no egg-head. She was from a loving family, and was taught to be responsible and reliable young woman.... and she was hot.... really hot.



CONS:

She obviously had a thing for the bad boy, Zack Morris. Although, she did string him and Slater along for a while... practically making asses out of themselves for her affection. Not very nice, Kelly.... Then, there was the time she cheated on Zack with the older dude, Jeff, from The Max. She ditched Zackie-Boy and went off enjoying herself with her "sugar daddy", until he himself was busted cheating on Kelly with an older woman.... payback's are a bitch, Kel.

Of course, Kelly and Zack slowly rekindled their romance years later and even went to college together... practically sharing a dorm even. How nice, those two would finally make it after all.... until the inner beeyotch resurfaced inside Kelly.... she went off and hooked up with a divorced college professor, Jeremiah Lasky. What happened to our "sweet and intelligent" Kelly we used to know and love??? They eventually split and she marries Zack... but still.... what the Hell?!?!

...Okay, shake it off.... we are not done yet....

Contestant Number Two: Topanga Lawrence, the SMOKIN' HOT hippie chick from John Adams High



Where to begin, where to begin.... well, for starters, when we first meet Topanga she is WEIRD... but cute. She is a hard-core Hippie-type and speaks of things very foreign to most kids her age... but she's cute, so we try to listen. By the time High School begins, she has blossomed into a young woman and has ditched the hippie motif almost entirely. She was the girl you wish you would have grown up with... the girl you would watch episode after episode and fall more in love with.

PROS:

Topanga was a gentle soul, one who was years ahead of her time in maturity and one who always taught Cory a lesson about love. She was funny, sometimes at her own expense, but always cute and charming. She was very intelligent and level-headed. She was also amazingly gorgeous.... those eyes, that body... those sexy full lips. WOW!!! Cory is one lucky S.O.B., that's all I'm sayin... plus, she obviously digs the nerd boys, so I could dream that one day my hot, curvy, future wife would come along and fall for my geeky ways.... and surprisingly, she DID. (but this isn't about my sexy wife....) Hell, Topanga even runs away from her own family to be with Cory.... awwwww, TRUE LOVE!!! (Shed a tear now, ladies and gents...)



CONS:

Well, really... there aren't many to list... she was always honest and true. Sure, there were bumps in the road for Cory and Topanga, but they always worked through them. She was nerdy, but who cares? ..... she was kinda neurotic at times, but only because she cared so much..... really, that girl was about as perfect as they come. The only "con" I can think of is that I wasn't lucky enough to be named Cory Matthews.. but that's a gripe with life, really... not Topanga.

I think we can all see where this is leading.... my choice for this debate is the Goddess that is TOPANGA LAWRENCE.... If only all women were like her.

What's better still, Danielle Fishel, who played her on Boy Meets World, is still gorgeous and gets more so with every year it would seem. If you don't believe me, watch her on THE DISH, every night @ 10pm on Style Network. I only watch it for her.... at least I'm honest.

...now if you'll excuse me... my Boy Meets World DVD's are calling for me....
